Job Profile

The role of an HR Assistant is pivotal in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations within the organization.

This individual will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and communication support to the HR team, requiring a high level of conceptual thinking, organizational prowess, and time management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and efficient responses to internal and external HR inquiries and requests.
  • Manage digital records of employees accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit vendors and administrators.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to identify suitable candidates, conduct reference checks, and issue employment contracts.
  • Maintain calendars for the HR management team, ensuring that all meetings, interviews, and events are scheduled accordingly.
  • Oversee compensation and benefit documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with performance management procedures, including goal setting, evaluations, and training.
  • Coordinate training sessions, seminars, and orientations, as well as maintain accurate records of new hires.
  • Produce regular reports on HR activity, providing insights into trends and areas for improvement.
  • Process payroll, resolve errors, and complete termination paperwork in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Assistant is required.
  • Proficiency in labor law and employment equity regulations is necessary.
  • Exceptional HR administration and people management skills are mandatory.
  • Familiarity with payroll practices and procedures is essential.
  • A comprehensive understanding of HR functions and best practices is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in email, MS Office, and related business tools.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
