Key Account Development Specialist

This position is responsible for supporting the Key Accounts Manager in growing strategic customer partnerships. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, excellent coordination and communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering results in sales or trade marketing roles.

About the Role:

The Key Account Development Specialist acts as the executional backbone for account plans, helping to deliver volume and value targets while enabling flawless in-store implementation, performance tracking, and cross-functional alignment.

A day in the life of this role includes monitoring daily/weekly/monthly sales, sharing updates with the Key Accounts Manager and relevant teams, and tracking performance against agreed KPIs.

  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales and share updates with KAM and relevant teams.
  • Track performance against agreed KPIs and highlight variances with actionable suggestions.
  • Support in developing insights from sell-out and category data to guide planning.
Account Coordination:

Support in execution of Joint Business Plans and customer-specific commercial initiatives.

Maintain updated customer profiles, records, and support documentation for key account operations.

Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and business review material for customer meetings.

Customer Communication & Support:

Act as key point of contact for customers on operational matters.

Facilitate timely resolution of customer queries, order status, and delivery issues.

Coordinate and follow up on promotions, launches, and activations with customers and field teams.

Executional Excellence:

Ensure proper visibility, planogram compliance, and activation execution in stores via coordination with merchandising teams.

Track campaign performance and compile insights to support post-activity evaluations.

Internal Collaboration:

Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, and Trade Marketing to ensure alignment on execution plans.

Follow up on demand planning, stock availability, and order fulfillment processes.

Support KAM in internal alignment meetings and planning cycles.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors/Masters from an HEC recognized institution.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, or Key Accounts function.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and a team player.
