Business Growth Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our business growth initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, and has a proven track record of success in business development or sales. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the creative and digital industries, as well as experience with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and basic marketing funnels. You will also be comfortable working across time zones and in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Upwork Strategy & Execution:
    • Search, evaluate, and bid on relevant design, development, and marketing projects daily.
    • Write compelling, personalized proposals that align with client needs and showcase our value.
    • Maintain a high response and conversion rate on the platform.
  • Lead Generation & Outreach:
    • Use LinkedIn, email marketing tools, and other platforms to identify and nurture leads.
    • Maintain and update a CRM system to track leads, conversions, and follow-ups.
    • Build strategic pipelines of potential clients across industries (e.g., startups, e-commerce, SaaS).
  • Client Communication & Closing Deals:
    • Schedule discovery calls, present our capabilities, and negotiate contracts.
    • Understand client pain points and recommend tailored solutions from our service offerings.
    • Ensure smooth handover to the project team post-sale.
  • Market Research & Strategy:
    • Monitor trends in the creative and digital industries to identify emerging opportunities.
    • Collaborate with marketing and content teams to refine messaging and sales materials.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in business development or sales in a digital agency or similar environment.
  • Proven success on Upwork or similar freelance platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (clear, persuasive, and confident).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and basic marketing funnels.
Nice to Have:
  • Background in design, development, or digital marketing.
  • Experience with proposal tools like Canva, Notion, or Pitch.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and in a fully remote environment.
