Business Development Manager

METRO, a global self-service wholesale leader, has expanded its operations in Pakistan since 2007. In 2012, METRO partnered with Makro-Habib to merge their wholesale businesses, creating a strong partnership that benefits customers and suppliers.

The company operates ten wholesale centers across major cities in Pakistan under the name METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd.

METRO Pakistan is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, operating over 700 stores across 21 countries with a workforce of more than 100,000 employees.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic plans to grow the business by understanding local markets;
  • Achieve sales and profit objectives for the branch;
  • Build strong relationships with customers;
  • Analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales data to make informed decisions for improvement;
  • Gather customer demands and expectations, proposing solutions with support from Store Manager and District Sales Manager;
  • Monitor market activities and competitor strategies to adapt METRO's approach and recommend action plans;
  • Participate in regular meetings with regional managers and collaborate closely with Store and Floor Managers;
  • Assist in selecting customer portfolios and increasing new customer activation;
  • Address customer complaints, understand their needs, and propose solutions;
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand their needs and build personal relationships;
  • Review and approve operational activities of team members.
Required Skills
  • Intermediate level with 8+ years of work experience or Graduation with less than 8 years' experience.
