Job Title: Human Resources Professional (HR Department)

Location: Port Qasim Electric Power Company (Private) Limited, Karachi

Reporting To: HR Manager / Manager In-charge Administration Manager

Job Overview

Port Qasim Electric Power Company (Private) Limited (PQEPC) is seeking a capable and proactive HR Professional
to join our team in Karachi.

The selected candidate will play an essential role in managing HR operations, employee relations, and compliance with company policies and Pakistani labor regulations.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, professional integrity, and the ability to coordinate effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer preparation.
  • Coordinate with various departments for manpower planning and approvals.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, documentation, and induction for new hires.

2. Employee Relations & Welfare

  • Act as the main point of contact for Pakistani employees regarding HR and welfare matters.
  • Promote a positive work culture and resolve workplace issues with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Ensure employee compliance with attendance, discipline, and company rules.

3. HR Administration & Documentation

  • Maintain and update employee records, contracts, attendance, and leave data.
  • Prepare HR-related letters, notices, and internal communications.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR files and databases.

4. Performance Management

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring performance appraisal systems.
  • Gather performance feedback and support evaluation discussions.
  • Identify and support training or development needs.

5. Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure adherence to company HR policies and local labor laws.
  • Support audits and inspections related to HR and employee compliance.
  • Recommend process improvements and policy updates when needed.

Requirements

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in
    Chinese (Mandarin)
    is
    required,
    able to communicate effectively with Chinese management and colleagues.
  • Experience:
    Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in Chinese company.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Chinese
    .
  • Must be fluent in
    English
    ,
    Chinese written and spoken
    language.
  • Strong understanding of
    Pakistani labor laws
    and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
