Ticketing Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Ticketing Officer to join our night shift team. The role primarily involves handling airline ticket reservations, changes, cancellations, and reissues for clients based in the United States, with a focus on Hajj and Umrah travel packages. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of GDS systems (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo), international fare rules, and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process flight reservations, ticket issuance, reissuance, and cancellations using GDS.
- Handle special fares, group bookings, and pilgrimage travel itineraries for Hajj and Umrah.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date travel information, including flight schedules, visa guidelines, and travel policies.
- Monitor and respond to emails, phone calls, and chat inquiries from U.S.-based customers during night shift hours.
- Coordinate with airlines and consolidators to obtain competitive fares and resolve booking issues.
- Manage and update client booking records and ensure compliance with airline and travel regulations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of transactions, changes, and communication logs.
- Support emergency or last-minute travel needs for pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Operations, and Customer Support.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in airline ticketing, preferably in the Hajj & Umrah sector.
- Strong command of at least one GDS (Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo).
- Understanding of U.S. time zones, customer expectations, and travel patterns.
- Familiarity with Hajj and Umrah procedures and seasonal requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written); Arabic/Urdu is a plus.
- Ability to work independently during night hours and handle urgent travel issues.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of transactions.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
