Accounting Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in general accounting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, billing, special reporting, and other various accounting functions. This position requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting or equal relevant experience, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. Knowledge of Telecommunications industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable tasks to ensure proper payment of vendors is done accurately and promptly.
• Perform accounts receivable and billing functions
• Perform monthly bank and other account reconciliations
• Regulatory reporting and special reports
• Will eventually act as a back-up for capital credits administration.
• Provide service to customers, both internal and external, vendors and co-workers that promotes satisfaction with the department and supports team efforts toward goals.
• Maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Business
• Two-three years bookkeeping
• Two-three years customer service
• Previous experience in telecommunications accounting preferred but will train the right candidate
• Proficiency in accounting software, especially Innovative, is a plus
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

This position requires being physically present in an office located in Council Grove, KS and reports to the Accounting Manager.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $43,000 - $63,000 per year
