Role: This role is responsible for generating income for Chiragh by building long-term partnerships. The main goal is to monetize content through partnerships with FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) companies and other organizations. The role also includes managing B2C sales and handling sales and networking for Chiragh Bardar (B2B sponsorship program).

The person best suited for this role should possess a blend of innate personality traits and learned skills.

  • Innate Traits: The individual should have a natural disposition for sales and relationship building. This includes:
  • Innate Empathy & Emotional Sensitivity: A genuine interest in why people do what they do, a capacity for self-reflection, and an ability to read non-verbal cues.
  • Curiosity and Observational Tendencies: They should be genuinely interested in people and observant of their behavior and feelings.
  • Resilience & Composure: The ability to handle rejection or challenging situations without becoming defensive. They must be patient and diplomatic by nature.
  • Mindset: They should have a mindset that prioritizes building long-term partnerships over transactional gains. They must be authentic, coachable, and eager to learn.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in raising grants and sponsorships.
  • Well-spoken, polished, and presentable.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills in both Urdu and English.
  • Strong research and learning mindset.
  • Extroverted and comfortable with networking.
  • Excellent time management and ability to deliver work within deadlines.
  • Ownership: A proactive attitude to take on tasks, even those outside the explicit job description, particularly when the CEO is unavailable.

Transport: The salesperson must have their own transport for field visits and offsite meetings.

Job Experience:

  • Direct Sales Experience: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales.
  • Fundraising/Sponsorships: Experience in raising grants and sponsorships is explicitly required.
  • B2C Sales: While the role is predominantly B2B, the individual should also be capable of managing B2C sales responsibilities, including managing an online shop and handling customer orders.
  • Networking: Experience in sales and networking for a cause or a specific product, like Chiragh Bardar, is essential.
  • Project Communication: The ability to communicate effectively with clients, provide project updates, and keep a supervisor informed is a key part of the job.
