Establishing meaningful relationships with corporate and individual supporters is crucial for our organization's success. To achieve this goal, we are seeking a highly skilled Philanthropic Support Specialist to join our team.

This role will focus on identifying, cultivating, and soliciting philanthropic support from key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans that highlight the impact of donor investments and align with our organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, communicating the value of their investment and ensuring effective stewardship.
  • Create compelling content for proposals, newsletters, brochures, websites, and other communication channels to promote our organization's mission and goals.
  • Investigate grant opportunities to support existing and new programs, and monitor grants activities to ensure optimal results.
  • Provide regular reports to donors highlighting the impact of their support and encouraging continued investment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive development plan to expand and enhance foundation and corporate relationships.
  • Support the improvement of information systems for donor and prospect data management.
  • Represent our organization at local and regional fundraising conferences and events, as well as corporate functions that may benefit our fundraising efforts.
  • Determine and effectuate fundraising strategies and donor policies and procedures.
  • Review and assess market potential for training and consultation opportunities, and develop strong customer relationships to generate prospective clients.
Requirements:
  • Excellent MS Word and MS PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong writing skills, including clear, concise, and accurate copy in accessible English.
  • Exceptional planning, communication, and interpersonal skills, coordination and prioritization skills, and proven capacity to undertake varied tasks simultaneously within stringent deadlines.
